Why I built it
Yothinburana School International Programme (YBIP) in Bangkok needed one clear place to share information with students, parents and new applicants. I designed and built the website on my own, and it has been the programme's official site since 2021.
The idea
A simple, responsive website that works well on phones and computers, and that the school can keep up to date with news, events and admission details.
Key features
- Announcements - news cards with photos, dates and a "Continue reading" page for each story.
- Programme information - administration, curriculum and Cambridge certificate details.
- Admission - online application information for new students.
- Activities - photo albums and videos of school events.
- Contact - address, phone, email and social media links.
- Responsive design - works on phones, tablets and computers.
How it works
- PHP back end that manages files and website content.
- MySQL database that stores announcements and other data.
- HTML, CSS and JavaScript front end for the pages and layout.
Impact
- Still in use - it has been the school's live website since 2021.
- One place for information - students, parents and applicants find everything in one site.
